This market is unregulated, and the data on what actually ships is grim. A 2024 study published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research tested semaglutide bought from online sellers and found real purity between 7.7% and 14.37%, against the 99% printed on the labels. One independent laboratory that tested over 1,200 samples found nearly three quarters fell short of the purity claimed.
A vial of white powder looks identical at 99% pure and at 9% pure. The only thing that tells them apart is a chromatogram.
Problem two: many “certificates” are made in-house
This is the part most buyers miss. A growing number of suppliers hand out a Certificate of Analysis that no laboratory ever produced. The seller typed it up themselves, often in nothing more than a word processor, picked a purity figure, and formatted it to look official.
That is not a Certificate of Analysis. It is a supplier vouching for itself.
The gap is measurable. When independent labs re-test products against the certificate the seller supplied, only a minority of those certificates hold up. A real CoA is different in kind: it comes from a third-party laboratory that received a physical sample, ran it on real instruments, and reported what the instruments measured. The seller cannot edit the result, because the seller did not produce it.

How to know a result is real
A genuine result should be checkable by you, not just by us. The strongest form is a laboratory that publishes results in its own database, where anyone can enter a reference and confirm the certificate at the source. When you can do that, the result provably exists and the seller could not have altered it. A PDF that lives only on a seller’s website gives you neither guarantee.
If a supplier cannot point you to an independent way to confirm a result, treat it with caution.

Problema due: molti “certificati” sono fatti in casa
Questo è il punto che sfugge alla maggior parte degli acquirenti. Sempre più fornitori distribuiscono un Certificato di Analisi che nessun laboratorio ha mai prodotto. Lo ha scritto il venditore stesso, spesso con un semplice programma di videoscrittura, scegliendo lui il valore di purezza e impaginandolo per farlo sembrare ufficiale.
Quello non è un Certificato di Analisi. È un venditore che fa da garante a se stesso.
E la differenza si misura. Quando i laboratori indipendenti rianalizzano i prodotti e li confrontano con il certificato fornito dal venditore, solo una minoranza di quei certificati regge alla prova. Un vero CoA è un’altra cosa: lo emette un laboratorio terzo che ha ricevuto un campione fisico, lo ha analizzato con strumenti veri e ha riportato quello che gli strumenti hanno misurato. Il venditore non può ritoccare il risultato, perché non è stato lui a produrlo.

Come capire se un risultato è reale
Un risultato autentico devi poterlo verificare anche tu, non solo noi. La garanzia più solida la dà un laboratorio che pubblica i propri risultati in un database consultabile, dove chiunque può inserire un codice e confermare il certificato direttamente alla fonte. Quando puoi farlo, due cose diventano certe: il risultato esiste davvero e il venditore non può averlo modificato. Un PDF che esiste solo sul sito del venditore non ti dà nessuna delle due.
Se un fornitore non sa indicarti un modo indipendente per confermare un risultato, prendilo con le pinze.
