What does the research say?
LGD-4033 is one of the few SARMs to have completed multiple stages of clinical evaluation. In a Phase I trial involving 76 healthy young men, doses of 0.1mg, 0.3mg, and 1.0mg daily for 21 days produced statistically significant, dose-dependent increases in lean body mass. The 1.0mg group gained an average of 1.21 kg of lean mass in just three weeks with no significant change in PSA, haematocrit, or liver enzymes.
A Phase II clinical trial (VK5211) evaluated LGD-4033 in 120 patients recovering from hip fracture, demonstrating improvements in lean body mass and functional measures of muscle strength.
