MK-677 (ibutamoren) is a non-peptidic, orally active agonist of the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). In the published literature the compound is described as mimicking the action of ghrelin at its receptor and producing sustained elevation of growth hormone (GH) and IGF-1 signalling in the models studied, without the cortisol elevation reported for some other secretagogues. It is not a SARM and does not interact with androgen receptors.
