CJC-1295 DAC is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) with a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) that binds to serum albumin, extending its half-life to approximately 6-8 days. This is dramatically longer than native GHRH, which has a half-life of minutes.
In a clinical study involving healthy adults, a single subcutaneous injection of CJC-1295 DAC increased plasma GH levels by 2 to 10-fold for 6 days or longer, and plasma IGF-1 levels by 1.5 to 3-fold for 9 to 11 days. With multiple doses, IGF-1 levels remained elevated for up to 28 days.
