Ostarine is one of the most extensively studied SARMs in clinical settings. In a Phase II randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 120 healthy elderly men and postmenopausal women, doses of 1 mg and 3 mg daily over 12 weeks produced statistically significant increases in lean body mass and improvements in physical function compared to placebo.
Two Phase III clinical trials (POWER 1 and POWER 2) evaluated Ostarine for the prevention and treatment of muscle wasting in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. The trials showed significant improvements in lean body mass, though the co-primary endpoint of physical function did not reach statistical significance in both studies.
